On-device by design

Because scanning and OCR run on your phone, there is no upload to intercept and no server-side copy to breach. This is a structural choice, not a setting.

Storage

Your documents live in your device's own storage, protected by your device passcode and its operating-system sandbox. They are included in your device backup if you have one enabled.
